Overview

Sports Physiotherapy Canada (SPC) provides a one-hour webinar on Vision Rehabilitation for persisting post-concussion vision deficits. The presence of visual deficits following concussion can significantly prolong recovery, making return to life, school, and sport more challenging. This session will provide an overview of common visual disorders following concussion and their assessment. Management of these common visual disorders, including of accommodation, vergence, and eye movements will be discussed from the perspectives of a clinician (optometrist) and an individual with lived experience. The value of a multidisciplinary collaborative care model will be highlighted, and evidence supporting the treatment of post-concussion vision disorders will be provided.
